Why You Can’t Resist Clickbait Headlines….

If you’ve followed the tweet or Facebook post to get here, you already know the answer.

Curiosity.

Curiosity is not a bad thing. It’s “A strong desire to know or learn something.” So put that desire to good use, get off the internet and go read a few good books that might stay with you longer than an article about why you should never stare at a monkey. 😀 The Guardian has a wonderful list of the 100 best non-fiction books.  And if you’re interested in Japan, check out this list from Booklust (And yes, my book is amongst them 😉).

If you like to travel and learn, then Nancy Pearl’s Book Lust to Go: Recommended Reading for Travelers, Vagabonds, and Dreamers is a wonderful book, that also will introduce you to many good books.

Take some time to satiate your curiosity with a good book for a while. The internet will still be there when you get back. And if you really want to know why you’re curious in the first place, then read Why?: What Makes Us Curious.

PS. If you haven’t clicked on this article, congratulations! You have successfully joined The Resistance. Except that you wouldn’t know that, because you haven’t read this article, right?
